Les amis

Ici les gens arrivent et repartent sans arrêt. Norman Wells est en rotation continuelle. C'est chouette parce que ca donne l'occasion de rencontrer pleins de gens qui viennent de partout et qui ont des expériences de vie des plus différentes. Le désavantage c'est que quand on se fait des nouveaux amis on ne sait jamais quand ils vont partir, combien de temps ils vont être ici, etc. et c'est difficile à chaque fois qu'on perd un ami. Ma bonne amie Katherine Brach qui était à Norman Wells depuis 6 ou 7 ans est partie l'an passé. Ca a fait un gros vide dans ma vie. Nous allions souvent faire de la photo ensemble et souper et boire du thé. Maintenant je n'ai plus personne avec qui allé prendre des photos des aurores. alors je n'y vais plus. 

Beaucoup de nouveaux sont arrivés à Norman Wells cette année. Parmi ceux-ci, Rachel Thorne. Elle est en charge de la maison des jeunes et est aussi suppléante à l'école. Enjouée, toujours de bonne humeur et motivée, passer du temps avec elle est toujours agréable. Elle m'a demandé de prendre des photos d'elle pour un article qu'elle doit écrire. Qu'y a-t-il de mieux que quelqu'un qui se porte volontaire pour être modèle!!!

Here people come and go all the time. Norman wells is a continuous transient town. It's nice in a way because you get to meet so many different people that come from all over and that have the oddest life experience. The bad thing is that you make new friends and you never know for how long they are going to be here and when they are going to leave. It's hard every time a friend leaves. My good friend Katherine Brach lived in Norman Wells with her family for 6 or 7 years and left last year. It left a big blank in my life. we use to go take pictures together all the time and have dinner and drink tea. Now I have no one to go take pictures of the northern lights with so I just don't go anymore. 

There's a lot of new people that moved to Norman Wells this year. Part of them is Rachel Thorne. She is the new Youth and Elder Coordinator and she also subs at the school. Always happy, in a good mood and motivated, it's always nice to spend time with her. She asked me to take pictures of her for an article that she has to write. What's better than a volunteer model!!
