 Des fois il ya des gens que l'on rencontre et on sait au premier coup d'oeil qu'on va bien s'entendre. Je me suis faite une amie cette année qui a changée ma vie de tellement de façons différentes. Katherine et Malcolm on déménagés à Norman Wells il y a 6 ans pour venir travailler à l'école. Maintenant parents de 2 adorables enfants ils ont décidés cette année qu'il était temps pour leur vie de prendre un nouveau virage. Katherine a obtenu un emploi à Smithers, CB comme conseillère aux étudiants. Nous nous attendions tous à leur déménagement à la fin de l'année scolaire mais Le poste de Katherine débute plutôt que prévu. Aujourd'hui Katherine est partie. J'étais très triste quand j'ai entendu l'avion prendre son envol au dessus de la ville. Malcolm et les enfants vont suivre dans les prochaines semaines.

Musicienne, mère, photographe, chanteuse, cuisinière; c'est une femme aux talents multiples. Katherine et moi avons fait plusieurs expéditions photo dans la dernière année. Elle n'est pas seulement conseillère au étudiant, j'aime dire qu'elle est aussi ma conseillère personnelle. La voix de la raison, elle a toujours de bons conseils. Elle a une façon de s'exprimer qui assagit n'importe qui. Chaque fois que je vais chez elle, je n'en reviens pas à quel point elle est bonne cuisinière. C'est le genre de personne avec qui on peut être assis sans rien dire et sans malaise, avec qui on peut juste ÊTRE. J'admire Katherine pour sa passion et sa détermination. Je vais énormément m'ennuyer d'elle et Norman Wells ne sera jamais pareil sans elle. Mais je sais qu'on va se revoir parce que je sais qu'on va s'arranger pour que ca arrive.

Sometimes there's just people that you know at first sight that you are gonna get along with them. I made a friend this year who changed my life in so many ways. Katherine and Malcolm moved to Norman Wells 6 years ago to work at the school. Now parents of 2 adorable kids they decided that it was time for their life to take another turn. Katherine got a job as school counselor in Smithers, BC. We were all expecting them to move after the end of the school year but Katherine's contract started earlier than expected. Today, Katherine left on the jet. I was really sad when I heard the plane take off. Malcolm and the kids will be following in the next couple weeks. 

Musician, mom, Photographer, Singer, cook; a woman of many skills. Katherine and I went on photography adventures many times in the last year. She's not only a school counselor i also like to say that she's my personal counselor, voice of reason she always has good advises. She has a way of putting words together that makes everything sound better. Every time I go over to their house I'm always amazed of her cooking skills. She's one of those people that you can be with without having to talk. You can just BE, together. I admire Katherine for her passion and her determination. I will miss her like crazy and Norman Wells will never be the same without her. But I know that I will see her again. Because I know that we will make it happen.
