les aurores (encore!)

L'autre soir j'étais assise sur mon balcon et je regardais le ciel. dégagé, pas de nuages en vue, je me suis dit: les aurores c'est à soir que ca se passe...feck j'ai mis mon réveil matin à 2h du mat. et j'ai tout préparé mon équipement. Finalement, quand je suis sortie à 2h il n'y avait toujours pas de nuages mais toujours pas d'aurores non plus. mais les étoiles étaient belles alors j'ai pris quelques photos. 

the other night I was sitting on my porch looking up at the sky, no cloud to be seen, I thought: yeap, the northern lights, it's happing tonight. so I set my alarm for 2 am and got all my stuff ready. When I got outside at two there was still no cloud but no lights either. but the starts were pretty so I took a few pictures.

 c'est vraiment difficile de prendre des photos de nuit ici parce que je suis trop peureuse pour aller toute seule où il fait noire alors partout où je prends des photos j'ai la lumière des lampadaires qui influencent la photo. Comme ici par exemple, je voulais prendre une photo du ciel avec les arbres en ombrages sauf qu'ils sont sortis plus clair que le ciel.

It's hard to take night pictures here cause I'm a little too scared to go all by myself where it's dark so everytime I take a picture it's influenced by the street lights. like on this picture I was trying to get the trees dark with the bright sky in the background but the trees turned out wayy brighter than the sky!

Ca arrive jamais quand je m'y attend ou quand je suis prête. Je revenais d'un souper d'action de grâce hier de chez des amis (vraiment une belle soirée) et je regardais dans le ciel et je voyais les lumières vertes qui se promenaient. Quand je suis arrivée à la maison j'ai eu un deuxième vent d'énergie qui est arrivé de nul part et j'étais soudainement vraiment énervée d'aller prendre des photos. alors j'ai ramasser mon stock et je suis allé prendre une petite marche.

hey always happen when I'm not expecting it or when I'm not ready. So I was coming back from a thanksgiving dinner at one of my friends house (which was absolutely awesome) and I could see the lights in the sky. so I got home suddenly soo pumped to go take pictures even though I was exhausted and it was getting late. second wind of energy I guess. I grabbed all my equipment and went for a little walk.

Ca c'est un bateau qui est devant le musée de Norman Wells je trouvais que ca faisait un drole de décor avec les arbres en arrière et les aurores.

This boat is parked in the grass in front of the Norman Wells museum I thought it made and odd decor with the trees in the back and the northern lights.
