Aurora Borealis Vs Sleep

Ce n'est même plus une question qui se pose. Aller prendre des photos des aurores jusqu'à 2 heure du matin Vs avoir une bonne nuit de sommeil pour être en forme pour le boulot...l'option un l'emporte haut la main. Je crois que c'est une bonne chose. Notre récompense pour vivre dans des froids aussi extrêmes elle se déroule dans le ciel, la nuit. Alors moi je crois qu'il faut en profiter.

It's not even a question. Go take pictures of the Northern lights until 2AM Vs have a good night of sleep to be up for work...option one wins all the way. I think it's a good thing. Our reward for living in such extreme cold happens in the sky, at night. So i think we have to advantage of it. 

Aurores en folie

Je suis revenue de Inuvik hier avec beaucoup trop d'énergie. Moins d'une heure après avoir attérit j'étais assise derrière mon bureau à la bibliothèque. Jusqu'à 8h. Je n'avais pas le goût de retourner à la maison après, j'avais envie de faire quelque chose alors j'ai appeler mon ami Jason et on est allé prendre une bière. Vers onze heure je suis allé le reconduire chez lui et je suis retournée chez moi. Le ciel était étoilé, il ne manquait plus que les aurores. Après environ une heure et demi à glander dans ma chambre j'ai regardé par la fenêtre et une rivière d'aurores flottait au dessus du fleuve. Rapido j'ai enfilé mon linge chaud et je suis partie en expédition.

I got back from Inuvik last night with wayy to much energy. Not even an hour after landing I was sitting behind my desk at the library, till 8. I didn't feel like going home right after so I went for a beer with my friend Jason. Around 11 I drop him off at home and drove back to my place, the sky was covered with stars, the only thing missing was northern lights. After about an hour and half of doing not much in my room I looked out the window and there was a river of aurora floating over the Mackenzie. I quickly put on my winter gear and went on an adventure.

Cette semaine j'avais une formation de bibliothécaires à Inuvik. Ca a fait du bien, ca faisait depuis septembre que je n'avais pas quitté la ville. 

This past week I was up in Inuvik for training. It was great, first time out of time since september. It was needed.

Le dernier soir ou on était en ville, Maia (résidente de Inuvik) nous a emmener faire un tour pour faire de la photo de nuit Adam Hill et moi. Elle nous a emmener à un vieu bateau abandonner. C'étais vraiment très beau.

The last night we were in town we went for a drive with Maia (resident of inuvik) to take pictures Adam Hill and I. She took us to an old abandonned boat. it was really beautiful.
