Williams lake- D&A

Williams Lake, BC. 9 hours of driving from Edmonton. 

Friday morning 8AM, pro-driver Vale in the drivers seat and we are "en route" for Darcy (Kraig's cousin) and Alison's wedding. 

To get there we went through Jasper, Valemount, Little Fort, 100 Miles house and a bunch more small places. The scenery is breath taking along the way. We've seen a bit of wildlife; sheep, elk, Deer, Black Bear.

Williams Lake, CB. 9 heures de route d'Edmonton

Vendredi matin, 8 AM, super-conducteur Vale est au volant de la VWmobile et nous sommes en route pour le marriage de Darcy (le cousin de Kraig) et Alison.

Pour se rendre nous passons par Jasper, Valemount, Little fort, 100 Miles house and une tonne d'autre petits villages. La vue est a couper le souffle et nous avons mêmes vus quelques animaux; Mouflons, des Élans, chevreuil et un ours noir.

It was really good to get to see everyone again, the kids have grown so much since last year it's unbelievable.

C'étais vraiment chouette de revoir tous le monde. les enfants ont poussés comme de la mauvais herbe!

The last time we were in Williams lake was last year during the forest fires. it was really great to get to spend some time there with everyone without the stress and the smoke. 

I KNOW i didn't even get a picture of the bride and groom but they were already super busy with their own photographer and their 160 guests.

La dernière fois que nous sommes allez à Williams lake était durant les feux de forêt. Ce fut vraiment agréable de passer du temps avec tous le monde sans le stress et la fumée.

JE SAIS je n'ai même pas de photos des mariés mais ils étaient déjà super occupés avec leur propre photographe et leurs 160 invités.

a Day in Leduc

My sister-in-law has the cutest kids. literally, they are absolutely gorgeous. we had a BBQ last weekend and it was beautiful outside so i used the awesome weather to snap some pictures of the two little monsters.

Ma belle soeur a de si beaux enfants. Littéralement ils sont absolument ravissants. La fin de semaine passé nous avons fait un BBQ et la température était fantastique alors j'en ai profité pour prendre quelques photos des deux petits monstres.

I volunteer for a Barrhead Rescue Society which rescues cats and dogs and re-homes them. Around christmas time they put out an email to all the volunteers looking for a foster family for this puppy from Tuktoyaktuk (Northwest Territories). Fitting right! since we were both home for the holidays i figured we could take in the little buddy for a bit. After 4 days Kraig looked at me and said "You know he's not going anywhere right!" and that is how Beau joined our family.

Je suis bénévole pour un organisme qui viens au secours d'animaux (chats et chiens) et s'occupe de leur trouver une nouvelle maison. Dans le bout de noël ils ont envoyés un message à tous le volontaires pour trouver une famille d'accueil pour un petit chien qui vient de Toktoyaktuk (Territoires du Nord-Ouest). Ca tombe bien. Comme nous étions tous les deux à la maison pendant le temps des fêtes je me suis dit qu'on pourrait l'héberger pendant un certain temps. Après 4 jours Kraig me regarde et dit "Tu sais qu'il ne s'en va pas nul part einh!" Et c'est ainsi que Beau s'est joint à la famille.

Canmore & Banff

J'étais due. J'étais due pour une fin de semaine en dehors de la ville et j'étais due pour un "update" sur mon blog. Nous sommes partis vendredi de la semaine passé pour Canmore pour 3 jours dans les montagnes. C'est fou le calme que je ressens à l'intérieur quand je vois apparaître les montagnes à l'horizon une fois passé Calgary.

I was due, I was due for a weekend out of the city and due for and update on my blog. we left on Friday last week for Canmore, 3 days in the mountains. It's crazy the calm that i feel inside of me when i see the mountains appearing in the horizon.

En pleins milieu de Banff il y'a un chevreuil qui courait sur le bord de la route à environ 5 mètres de l'auto

Right in the middle of Banff there was a deer running on the side of the road about 5 metres away from the car. 

Notre dernière journée nous voulions faire quelque chose d'un peu spécial alors nous sommes allés prendre la Gondole jusqu'en haut de la montagne. les photos de rendent pas justice à l'altitude et à quel point les câbles qui montent son abrupt.

On our last day we wanted to do something special so we went up in the gondola to the top of the mountain. The pictures don't even do justice on how steep it was and the altitude. 

En haut de la montagne il y a un chalet avec un point de vu qui fait le tour du chalet (360 degrés) à l'extérieur il y a des feux de bois avec des couvertures, des chaises, des sculptures d'ours en miroir et de la tire sur la neige.

At the top of the mountain there's a cabin with a viewpoint that goes all the way around the cabin. outside there's fire places with blankets, chairs, sculptures of bears made with mirrors and maple toffee. 

À partir du chalet principal il y a un sentier qui monte jusqu'à une tour d'observation

from the main cabin there's a trail that climbs all the way to an observation tower.
