Une semaine avant de faire mon retour au Québec j'ai reçu un message d'un ami éditeur chez News North qui voulait savoir si je voulais aller sur le canol avec un groupe en tant que photographe. Le genre de suggestion qui ne se refuse pas! Voici mes photos.

A week before my coming back to Quebec I got an email from a friend who's editor for News North asking if I would like to go on the canol with a group as photographer. The kind of occasion that you can't say no to! here are some of the (1000) pictures I brought back

l'endroit où nous étions campés est une ancienne station de pompage. Les immeubles abandonnés et délabrés renferment plusieurs vieux meubles, vaisselle, lavabos, etc.
The place where we camped is an old pumping station. the old abandoned buildings we full of old furnitures, dishes, sinks, etc.
La deuxième journée nous avons construits un tipi qui nous servait de cuisine. Les femmes étaient en charge de couvrir le sol de branche d'épinettes pour pouvoir s'assoir alors que les hommes coupaient les pôles servant à construire la structure.
The second day we built a tepee which was use as kitchen. The women were in charge of covering the ground with spruce branches to sit on while the men were in charge of finding the poles to build the structure.
